Unique Kitchen Backsplashes

How much attention have you given the backsplash in your kitchen in comparison to the appliances or flooring? Backsplashes are a great way to add some life to a kitchen while not overdoing it because they cover a small portion of the room. While the backsplash itself is very simple, the glossy black is rather uncommon. It makes the black doorknobs really stick out and is a great contrast to the neutral-colored cabinets.

The herringbone pattern of the bricks jazzes up the plain white of the backsplash. Once again, the contrast between the white of the backsplash and the blue of the cupboards is beautiful. Note the reflection on the stove – love it!
